Sweet & Spicy Asian Inspired Beef Bowl

In this blog post, Coach Maggie shares her go-to Sweet and Spicy Asian-Inspired Beef Bowl—a perfect combination of savory, sweet, and spicy. With lean ground beef, bold flavors from Gochujang and Tamari, and a customizable base of jasmine rice and veggies, this dish is great for meal prep or a simple dinner everyone will love (even picky eaters). Packed with protein and easy to adjust based on your goals, it’s a must-try!

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 lbs 93/7 lean ground beef

  • 50 grams Gochujang

  • 5 tsp sesame oil

  • 4 Tbsp minced garlic

  • 75 grams brown sugar

  • 200 grams gluten free Tamari

  • Cooked jasmine rice (adjust for carbs needed)

  • Mixed veggies or sautéed green beans

  • Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Cook beef until almost cooked through.

  2. Mix together sauce ingredients while cooking beef.

  3. Pour sauce over beef. Cook to reduce.

  4. Sauté green beans in a skillet with garlic and sesame oil.

  5. Pile rice, beef and green beans in a bowl and top with green onions.
