WHAT IS Fe26?

Named after iron on the periodic table, Fe26 is our strongest coaching formula. Grounded in behavior science and habit formation research, this 26-week service was created for those ready to commit to long-term mental, behavioral, and physical change through consistent and supported effort. With increased coach access and high frequency communication, Fe26 helps you rewire the patterns that hold you back and build sustainable habits that stick for good. If you want to build a strong foundation you’ll have forever, this is for you.

THE SCIENCE OF LONG TERM CHANGE

Why 26 weeks?

Research indicates that significant and sustainable health and lifestyle behavior changes typically require approximately six months to become established and consistent. This timeframe, while not absolute, is supported by findings in behavior change research.

  • One of the most influential frameworks for behavior change, the Transtheoretical Model (TTM), suggests that behavior change unfolds in stages:

    • Precontemplation

    • Contemplation

    • Preparation

    • Action

    • Maintenance (which is defined as sustaining the new behavior for at least 6 months)

    According to this model, once someone reaches the Maintenance stage, they’re considered to have made a more permanent shift. Six months is a key milestone in this process.

  • While many people cite the “21 days to form a habit” myth, more rigorous research (like a 2009 study from University College London) suggests that habit formation takes an average of 66 days, but the range can be up to 254 days depending on the complexity of the behavior.  For major lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, sleep routines), 6 months allows enough time for brain rewiring, reinforcement, and coping with setbacks, which leads to more automatic behaviors.

  • In health coaching, psychotherapy, and behavior-change research, programs often run for 24–26 weeks (around 6 months) because:

    • It allows for multiple cycles of action and adjustment

    • It accommodates lapses and teaches resilience

    • It improves self-efficacy and autonomy over time

    This is why programs like diabetes prevention, smoking cessation, or lifestyle change interventions often span 6 months.

Weekly deep-dive software check-ins, covering nutrition, food choices, movement, sleep, stress, energy, habits, hunger, and more. These aren’t surface-level updates, they’re a chance to track meaningful patterns, get targeted feedback, and make adjustments.

MONTHLY PHONE OR VIDEO CALLS

Get two 30-minute (or one 60-minute) one-on-one calls with your coach every month. These calls are your space and time to dig into anything – progress, mindset, struggles, big-picture goals — and walk away with a clearer plan and renewed focus.

FREQUENT TEXT COMMUNICATION

Between check-ins, stay connected with your coach via text for real-time support and advice. Whether you need a quick pep talk, help adjusting your plan, or just someone in your corner. We’re here for the in-between moments that make the biggest difference.

  • You’ve got options! If you’re feeling confident and ready to fly solo, you can wrap things up and carry on with the habits and momentum you’ve built. If you’d prefer to keep that weekly check-in accountability, we’ll knock $20 off per month if you want to transition into our Regular or Lite coaching.

    And even though you shouldn’t need to, you’re welcome to stay on Fe26 if you like the frequent communication with your coach.

  • Compared to our Regular and Lite coaching, Fe26 offers significantly more access to your coach through more frequent communication and a higher level of structure and accountability. It’s a 26-week, science-backed system built for people who are ready to fully commit to rebuilding their foundation and create lasting change from the ground up.

    Fe26 is our only coaching option that includes texting for real-time, day-to-day support between weekly check-ins. With our Regular coaching, you can still message your coach through the app or software whenever you want, but response times can take up to 48 hours.

  • We encourage touching base nearly daily on your coach’s working days. Most of our Fe26 coaches are full-time with Black Iron, so they’re available to respond throughout the day. Each coach also takes on only 1–2 Fe26 clients at a time to ensure a high level of support and responsiveness. You’re welcome to text anytime, just keep in mind that replies may not be immediate outside of your coach’s working hours or time zone. If your coach hasn’t heard from you in 1-2 days, they’ll reach out to see if you need any support or guidance.

  • Fe26 is a powerful tool for athletes of any level and ability who are struggling with consistency, fueling, recovery, or burnout. If your performance is being held back by habits outside of training (like under-eating, lack of sleep, or all-or-nothing thinking) this service and your coach will help you address the root of the problem so you can focus on your performance rather than all the noise.

    Additionally, Fe26 is a great fit for more serious athletes with hectic or demanding training schedules (or huge goals) looking for real-time nutrition support between and around training sessions.

  • Only if you want it to! Macro tracking is only required in our Lite coaching service. In fact, this service is great for those who want to feel more confident about not tracking. Your coach will come up with other ways to make sure you’re eating the right amount for your goals and lifestyle if macros aren’t for you or you want to tack time off from tracking.

  • Fe26 is a high-commitment coaching program designed for people who are all-in on making serious, lasting change. Because of that, we don’t offer payment plans and require the $3000 payment upfront to ensure you're fully invested before we get to work.
