This is Black Iron Bodyweight, an ode to the human body’s ability to move. This text was put together to honor the fact that we can build, strengthen, and repair our own bodies anywhere just through moving them. Which ought to be considered, appreciated, and celebrated more often. The human body is truly a thing of beauty on so many levels. When thinking about our body’s ability to move in various ways, it’s actually quite astonishing what we are capable of.

For those of you who are unaware, the BLACK IRON motto is “Well Wrought, Hard Fought”. While it rhymes quite nicely, there is actually a lot of meaning and passion packed into those four words. And in my opinion, this motto ties into every single thing we put out as a company. Let me explain.

A blacksmith is someone who builds, strengthens, and repairs things of iron or steel by hand and a few simple tools. We are all the blacksmiths of our own bodies and minds (iron and steel). It is up to no one but us to build, strengthen, and repair ourselves in order to forge ourselves into who we want to be. But it doesn’t come easy, it takes a lot of hard work. So we give you the tools to help you smith and forge a healthy, active lifestyle.

The end result? Well wrought and hard fought. Someone who has fought hard to build themselves up well.

This particular tool is one to get you moving in your truest, rawest form. Just you. No equipment at all.
